Welcome to the Metrocar Preservation Group

This group has been set up to keep Metrocar 4001, the first of the Metrocars on Britian's First Light Rail System which is a symbol and icon of North East Heritage and Rail to be kept from refurbishment. You can read more about this in our "Aim" page.
When this website is complete, you will find a news blog of our progress, rail photos and videos, an online shop, and the chance to join the Metrocar Preservation Group.
